What is BrightWing Minutes?▼
BrightWing Minutes is a web-based meeting documentation service that helps turn recorded meetings into organized written records. It is designed to support transcription, structured minute-taking, and action item capture from uploaded meeting content.
What does BrightWing Minutes do?▼
BrightWing Minutes is built to help with the full meeting-record workflow:
- Transcribe meeting audio
- Use an agenda as a reference
- Generate structured minutes
- Identify decisions and action items
- Present results in a clean, professional format
How does the process work?▼
The intended workflow is:
- Upload the meeting audio
- Provide the meeting agenda
- The system generates a transcript
- Discussion is aligned to agenda items
- Draft minutes are created from the transcript and agenda
- Review the output before final use
Does it create minutes automatically?▼
It can generate draft minutes automatically from the available meeting materials, but the results should still be reviewed by a person before being treated as final official records.
Can it read an agenda and use it when creating minutes?▼
Yes. The system is designed to use the agenda structure to organize the output and place discussion, decisions, and action items under the relevant agenda sections.
Does it only transcribe audio?▼
No. Transcription is one part of the process. The broader goal is to turn the transcript plus agenda into usable meeting minutes.
Can it identify action items and decisions?▼
Yes. The system is designed to identify likely follow-up tasks and decisions when they are clearly supported by the meeting discussion. If no clear decision is captured, the system may note that no explicit resolution was identified.
Will it work perfectly for every meeting?▼
Not always. Output quality depends on several factors:
- Audio clarity
- Speaker overlap
- How structured the meeting is
- Whether decisions and actions are stated clearly
Does it replace an executive assistant or minute taker?▼
No. It is best thought of as a drafting and productivity tool. It can save time and improve consistency, but official minutes should still be reviewed by a responsible human.
What is the difference between a transcript and minutes?▼
A transcript is a record of what was said. Minutes are a structured summary of what was discussed, decided, and assigned. BrightWing Minutes is designed to help bridge that gap.
What audio formats are supported?▼
We accept MP3, M4A, WAV, and AAC.
What agenda formats are supported?▼
You can upload your agenda as PDF, DOCX, or TXT.
What file sizes are supported?▼
You can upload meeting audio files up to 256 MB. Agenda files are also currently limited to 256 MB.
How long does it take to process my meeting?▼
Processing depends on two factors: the length of your audio and your position in the queue. Jobs are processed in the order they are submitted. If other jobs are ahead of yours, you may need to wait before processing begins. Once your job starts, most meetings complete within a few minutes.
How accurate is the transcription?▼
Accuracy depends on audio quality, the number of speakers, and background noise. Clear recordings with a single speaker produce the best results. In noisy audio, strong accents, or recordings with multiple simultaneous voices, errors may appear. We recommend always reviewing the generated minutes before sharing them.
Is there status tracking while processing?▼
Yes. The system includes progress and status updates during processing so you can see what stage your meeting is in.
What happens if the generated minutes are incomplete?▼
You should review the transcript, agenda, and generated minutes together. If the meeting audio was unclear or the discussion was not well structured, some manual correction may still be needed.
